Olayide Akanni has a Masters. in Business Administration, Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Biochemistry, with over 20 years’ experience in regional advocacy-based coalition in promoting HIV and TB treatment literacy, capacity building for media, CSOs, and policy monitoring on access to prevention, treatment, and care services. She has been engaged in different policy and strategy processes at the country level as well as international, additionally, part of her work seeks to promote CSO’s engagement in policy development and monitoring; such processes and forums include AU, PEPFAR COP, UN, and Global Fund processes. She has also served as rapporteur and lead rapporteur at various Internal AIDS Conferences as well as Consultant on Situation Analysis and review of HIV community responses in West and Central Africa through ICI Sante for UNAIDS, TB Gender Assessment in Nigeria for STOP TB Partnership amongst other assignments.
